I moved when I was 5 from Ecuador to the U.S. As a young Latina immigrant, you grow up dreaming to have something of your own. My parents sacrificed a lot for me and after seeing them work so hard and eventually start their own business from nothing, I was inspired and wanted to do the same. When I went to college, I didn't know exactly what I wanted my career to be. All I knew is that it had to be in the creative world. I ended up graduating with my bachelors in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Communications but my minor is what opened up the door to photography and I quickly fell in love. Every assignment and project meant more time designing, creating and behind a camera but even though I loved it and treated it as a hobby, it took me a couple of years after graduating to finally realize this this is what I want to be doing as my career.
